The Preserve at Chesapeake Farms
Reserve One Homes began building single-family homes for the
first time in Grayslake. Six floor plans were offered, with
2,000 to 3,500 square feet. Only 39 homesites, many of them
wooded, and all ¼ or larger, were offered.
The homes were popular with transferees, who were experienced
in recognizing home values. They saw the opportunity to build
equity in a short time, as well as take advantage of the excellent
Grayslake schools.
Wyndmuir Ridge and Woods at Wyndmuir
Reserve One Homes first entered Crystal Lake with these two
communities, totaling 57 homes. The eight floor plans could
be endlessly customized, with homes ranging from 1,896 to
3,715 square feet, with three to six bedrooms and 2½
to 4½ baths.
The popular Hillsdale floor plan was introduced in this community.
The family friendly home was originally offered in five different
elevations, including two that featured spacious front porches.
The three-car attached garage includes an adjacent storage
area, providing plenty of room for minivans and all the "stuff"
that modern families quickly accumulate.
Walkup at the Park
For its next Crystal Lake community, Reserve One chose an
area directly across the street from Veteran's Acre Park.
The park includes a lake, fishing hole, toboggan slides, hiking
trails, tennis courts, playground and a nature center.
The Essence Series was introduced at Walkup at the Park, which
has 169 homes. The six floor plans featured 1,368 to 2,200
square feet with three to four bedrooms and one to 2½
baths. The Classic Series, already proven popular in earlier
communities, had 2,339 to 3,450 square feet, with three to
six bedrooms and 2½ to 3½ baths.
Terra Fields
Only 15 single-family homesites were built in this private
Crystal Lake enclave. Large homesites ranged from more than
20,000 square feet to some approaching 29,000, with more than
half of the homesites able to accommodate a walk-out or look-out
basement.
Carriage Homes of Fox Ridge
Reserve One entered the multi-family market with the Carriage
Homes of Fox Ridge. The Fox Lake townhome community combined
exceptional floor plans with maintenance-free living. The
184-townhome community featured four floor plans ranging from
1,025 to 1,230 square feet with two to three bedrooms and
one to 1½ baths. Three of the homes included a full
basement, while one was a second-floor ranch design.
